He is truly the best! We originally connected with Kelvin on a recommendation of friends that had booked a number of tours in Vietnam through him, and we were particularly interested in the Vespa food tour in HCM City. Kelvin arramged that tour for us, and it was excellent! He communicated well, kept us informed of tour details and when payment was due, and all ran very smoothly! It was a great experience! But it was when our traveling buddies ran into difficulty entering Vietnam due to visa issues that Kelvin really stepped up exceptionally! He offered to assist with emergency visas, and helped arrange transport from the airport to the hotel, and when unavoidable delays occurred at immigration, he quickly re-arranged things so they could be delivered to the ship's port instead! Kelvin communicated well with our cruise director to ensure the transfer went smoothly and we all had a happy reunion! Kelvin truly went above and beyond the call of duty, and we were so appreciative! He is to be commended for his excellent service...we send out most sincere thanks to Kelvin! read less Tracy S

The food was great, the staff were friendly and efficient, the room was stylish, comfortable, spacious and clean. We had a very relaxing time and are glad we included this on our trip. Yes the ship is a little tired but this didn’t retract from our enjoyment. The cooking class was great too. read less

Very comfortable bed , good bathroom facilities and a balcony from which you can take in the fascinating life along the Mekong river.Even the WIFi was surprisingly good if understandably inconsistent but who needs WiFi and virtual enjoyment when you have been given so many real life experiences to enjoy. To list a few.3 delicious meals a day , sometimes 4 ( when afternoon tea was offered) Free flowing wine and beer. Only one Australian white and red was included , no rose. It would have been nice to have a wider range of wines but the wines offered were pleasant and generously topped up at will. The excursions were varied, thoughtful fascinating and well organised.By the time you left the cruise you had a real feel for the Vietnamese and Cambodians who are truly warm and wonderful people nothwithstanding the many tragic horrors of war both countries experienced in the past, which was also covered respectfully and movingly in some of the excursions. You could not help but be touched by what you saw and heard.A special mention for our excellent Cambodian guide Sam.There were too many highlights to mention all but the service on board the ship was truly exceptional.Every crew member was charming attentive and helpful and undoubtedly elevated an already excellent experience to exceptional levels.Together with the boutique nature of the cruise and table sharing arrangements the crew created a warm and friendly environment which encouraged you to get to know your fellow passengers and make friendships. We were lucky enough to take the full benefit of this environment and became good friends with a lovely couple from Texas which added another dimension to our stay and really added to the enjoyment of our stay.Good morning Vietnam was shown one evening but it was with a sad heart we said good bye to our ship , her crew and our good friends from Texas . read less

So we had high expectation of our 7 night cruise on the Jayaverman down the Mekong from Siem Reap to Ho Chi Min City. And those high expectations were more than justified. The boat was immaculate. The food was superb. The cabin was very small. We managed to stash one of our cases under the bed which helped save space! But the cabin had everything one needed including, to my surprise, decent wifi for most of the time! It only dropped out when we were in an extremely rural area with no mobile signal. I have limited mobility. I was fine climbing up and down the stairs between the different decks. But I knew that I could not cope with too many excursions or difficult climbs on and off boats, especially in the 30 degree heat. I need not have worried. The fantastic crew were always on hand to help me. The guides were really informative, efficient and attentive. The excursions were often off the beaten track and we were not fighting other tourists for space to stand up. Everyone was equipped with an electronic earpiece so could hear the excellent English commentary from our guides. The Cruise Manager, Smey speaks perfect English and was so helpful explaining how much walking was involved in each excursion. If I did not want to go on a particular excursion I was able to relax on the top deck, where there is lots of shade over the sun beds. The plunge pool on the top deck was great for the very hot days and was very popular! And of course there was always a great view of the river going by.Every morning there was a Tai Chi class on the top deck at 6.30 am. To my delight both my husband and I managed to get up to go to the class every day and thoroughly enjoyed them! A wonderful start to every day as the sun rose over the river. I also had two excellent massages during the week which really helped my aches and pains. The food on this cruise was outstanding. We both love Vietnamese and Cambodian cuisine and were thrilled to find such a wide range of interesting dishes freshly made for the buffet at breakfast and lunch. There was always a good selection of more international cuisine for those who were not as adventurous. The delicious a' la carte menu in the evenings always had a good choice available. Or the chefs would whip something up specially for those with allergies or intolerances, if needed. At meal times you often shared a table with other guests. The boat was full so we met lots of really delightful people from the ten different nationalities represented on board. The backdrop to the cruise was of course the mesmerising view of the river bank as we cruised along. A constantly changing panorama of farming, fishing and waterside activity. Thank you most of all to all of the fantastic crew who made this such a wonderful stimulating, and relaxing experience. We absolutely loved it! read less
